Living in the Land of Why
A book of essays
View from the West readers,
I recently collected a number of essays I have written for Substack over the last year and published them in small book. Why? I suppose it’s because I’m still attached to the old world of books—things you hold in your hand, lose from time to time, throw in your backpack, leave with a friend. They also seem more enduring than bits and bytes. That may or may not be true, but it seems that way to me. Anyway, if anyone would like to buy a copy you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org (they’re $11 including shipping). You can also buy them from Amazon Books—they’re a little more there ($13.95 plus shipping, unless you have Prime)—and Iconoclast Books in Hailey, Idaho. There will probably be other bookstores, but I could easily be the world’s worst sales guy, so we’ll see about that. Anyway, here’s a picture of the front and back covers in case you think this is a ruse …
